Origami Cranes symbolize Peace, Good Luck, Good Fortune, Long Life and Recovery from illness or injury.  An ancient Japanese legend promises that anyone who folds a thousand cranes will be granted a wish by a crane.
This special folded origami crane measures approximately 3.5” x 4” and has a clip on it for affixing to a plant, a kitchen curtain or a holiday tree. It also sits alertly on a book shelf, desk or table. Each one folded by the artist may be slightly different than shown in the photo, but it is sure to please.
Think about sending some of our Ukraine products to friends and relatives—to help your organization raise funds and to support World Central Kitchen in its efforts to feed Ukraine refugees and others fleeing oppression. The Pacific Palisades Democratic Club and the Westside Democratic Headquarters in Los Angeles are contributing to the United Nations World Food Programme. We will make that donation to this program for them.
Meet The Artist
The origami artist, Peggy Evans, lives in  Portland, Oregon. She folded her first origami crane at age 15 in her High School Japanese Language class. Following graduation from Oregon State University she enjoyed a 25-year career as a retail advertising designer and illustrator.  She now enjoys her home studio where she paints and creates embellished origami crane ornaments and gifts. Her company is Double Happiness Crane Company.  To date, she has folded more than 10,000 cranes, and her many unused wishes are for Peace in Ukraine.
